Renter Terms of Service
Welcome to ThaiRide. These Renter Terms of Service ("Agreement") govern your use of the ThaiRide Platform. ThaiRide acts solely as an online marketplace connecting motorcycle rental providers ("Providers") with customers seeking to rent motorcycles ("Renters"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be legally bound by this Agreement.
ThaiRide's role
ThaiRide is not a motorcycle rental company. ThaiRide does not own motorcycles, does not operate rental shops, does not employ Providers, does not act as an insurer, does not participate in the rental contract between the Renter and Provider. ThaiRide solely facilitates online listings, booking requests, reservation management, communication between parties, optional payment processing for platform fees. The rental agreement is entered directly between the Renter and the Provider.
Rental contract
The final rental contract is executed directly between the Renter and the Provider at pickup or delivery. The Provider independently determines rental conditions, deposit requirements, passport policies, insurance coverage, damage policies, cancellation terms, traffic fine handling. ThaiRide is not responsible for disputes arising from the rental contract.
Security deposits and passports
Providers may require cash deposits, credit card holds, passport presentation, passport retention, copies of identification documents. ThaiRide does not collect, store, hold, or control any security deposits or passports. Any deposit or passport arrangement is solely between the Renter and Provider.
Accidents and damages
In the event of accidents, theft, mechanical failures, injuries, property damage, or police matters, the Renter must contact the Provider directly. ThaiRide is not liable for personal injuries, death, vehicle damage, insurance disputes, third-party claims, roadside incidents, traffic violations.
License requirements
Renters are solely responsible for ensuring they possess a valid motorcycle license, a valid International Driving Permit (if applicable), and any legally required documentation under Thai law. ThaiRide does not verify the legal validity of licenses.
Payments and fees
ThaiRide may charge platform fees, reservation fees, service fees. Rental payments and deposits may be collected directly by the Provider. All prices displayed may exclude local taxes, fines, insurance upgrades, fuel, or additional Provider charges.
Cancellations
Cancellation policies may vary by Provider. ThaiRide may issue refunds only for fees directly collected by ThaiRide. ThaiRide is not responsible for Provider refusal, cancellation, or availability issues.
User conduct
You agree not to misuse the Platform, submit false information, damage motorcycles intentionally, engage in unlawful conduct, harass Providers, violate Thai law.
Disclaimer
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." ThaiRide makes no guarantees regarding motorcycle condition, Provider reliability, legality of rentals, insurance coverage, safety, uninterrupted Platform access.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ThaiRide shall not be liable for indirect damages, personal injuries, loss of income, travel disruptions, vehicle damage, theft, accidents, disputes between users and Providers. ThaiRide's total liability shall not exceed the service fees paid to ThaiRide during the preceding three (3) months.
Governing law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Phuket, Thailand.
